Global Government Summit
Please visit our new website for the Global Government Summit

The Global Government Summit has been hosted in recent years by the Government of Singapore. The Summit attracts delegates holding roles including the Director of the Prime Minister’s Office, State Secretary, Cabinet Secretary, Head of the Civil Service, Director General of Civil Service Policy, and Undersecretary of the Prime Ministry. Topics vary from year to year, with delegates selecting subjects such as public sector productivity, digital government, responses to demographic change, and leadership development.
In an opening address to welcome guests, host Peter Ong, Head of Civil Service, Singapore said:
No country or leader has a monopoly on wisdom, or all the answers to the governance challenges facing us. That is why this forum is so valuable and timely. It brings us together in one room to interact, to learn from each other, to have intimate conversations, and to exchange our views openly and candidly.
Peter Ong, Head of Civil Service, Singapore
Sharing his thoughts on the value of the 2017 Summit, Serge Dupont, Former Deputy Clerk of the Privy Council, Canada said:
Events such as these, bringing together peers in a safe space for candid discussion of shared challenges, work best where they deliver, through new perspectives, insights that will have immediate practical application. This was a successful event on that score. Thank you.
Serge Dupont, Former Deputy Clerk of the Privy Council, Canada
