WPP Government & Public Sector Practice provides world-class executive education in public policy communications,  in partnership with Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, Singapore and Carnegie Mellon University, Washington DC

Alongside legislation, regulation and taxation, communication is an essential tool for policy development and implementation. But communication is often poorly understood and under-utilized at many levels of government. Used successfully however, it can drive long-term behavior change – key to tackling many of today’s most pressing public policy challenges – and help close the gap in trust between government and citizens.

Today’s policymakers must understand why people behave in the ways that they do and how best they can influence audiences.  This means drawing on insights from behavioral psychology, economics and other disciplines, and understanding the latest developments in digital technology.

WPP’s Government & Public Sector Practice runs two university-backed programs for middle- and senior-level officials responsible for implementing public policy.  They enable participants to gain mastery in framing, communicating and implementing policies effectively through conceptual models, global case studies, and an interactive live challenge.  The result is a unique program that helps policymakers address the growing challenges that governments worldwide face.

WPP partners with Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy in Singapore and Carnegie Mellon University in the United States to combine conceptual foundations from top academic researchers with practical understanding based on WPP’s work with 115 governments in over 70 countries.
