Find out how Nordic governments are creating a ‘living lab’ for innovation

Data is integral to the work of governments in the 21st century. Administrations around the world are using data from a range of sources, including anonymised and aggregated payments information, to help deliver better services for businesses and citizens.
One leading example of how public sector organisations are working to make the most of data is the Nordic Open Mobility and Digitalisation (NOMAD) collaboration project across Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Norway.
The open data scheme is a collaboration between players in the Nordic public transport industry, with the aim to lower developer barriers and transform the region into a “living lab” for using data to create innovative mobility services. The programme develops open-access frameworks that allow the secure sharing of data, including more sensitive financial and payments data, in order to spur innovation and contribute to the prosperity of society.
To make this happen, the development and adoption of open data standards needs to be ramped up considerably, and the project leader will share exclusive insight into how this has been achieved at an upcoming Global Government Forum webinar.
Trond Hovland, the NOMAD project leader, will discuss the development of the project at the GGF webinar, with knowledge partners Visa and Kearney, on how governments are using data to deliver for citizens.
Oliver Wise, chief data officer at the US Department of Commerce and Arthur Turrell, the deputy director of the Office for National Statistics’s Data Science Campus in the UK will also be on the panel, sharing insight into how they are using data insights to better understand trends – and deliver better outcomes – in areas including travel and tourism, urban planning and sustainability, and economic forecasting.
Register now to make sure you don’t miss out on these insights and to put your questions to the panel. Global Government Forum is pleased to offer real-time simultaneous translation of this webinar into Spanish and Portuguese.
