The UK government’s procurement agency, the Crown Commercial Service (CCS), said in March 2021 that it was looking to ‘bring fintech to the fore’ as part of a newly created framework of ‘debt resolution’ providers (a ‘Debt Resolution Services’ supplier roster that all UK public sector bodies will be able to use to source specialist companies).

The UN Climate Change Conference (1 Nov-12 Nov 2021) brought new ambition and targets to the increasingly recognised and urgent challenge of climate change. In this webinar we explored the growth in ‘green fintech’ solutions and asked how government policies can help encourage this growing sector. Examples in the UK have included the Financial Conduct Authority’s first ‘Green Fintech Challenge’ (in 2019) while the Department for International Trade run a UK ESG and Green FinTech mission to the US from 20-30 September 2021.
