Help to Save and the power of cross-departmental working

When NS&I Government Payment Services (NS&I GPS) began working on devising and delivering Help to Save, a new savings scheme designed for working people on low incomes, it faced a number of challenges, not least the need to integrate multiple IT systems and coordinate data across government departments.

NS&I GPS worked closely with HM Revenue and Customs, the Treasury and the Department for Work and Pensions. Together they adopted a highly collaborative, flexible and transparent approach, taking advantage of strong cross-departmental leadership to deliver the project on time and on budget.
