Overview
This two-day presentation skills workshop course is all about elevating your presentations to the next level. Whether it is overcoming fears, improving on your formula for structuring a rational persuasive argument or making it captivating to the audience, this is the course for you. Over the two days we will recap on the fundamentals of organising information coherently, writing and designing an effective presentation, assessing the correct length and pitch, and practising to perfect again any challenges that impede you. There will be plenty of opportunity to tweak to both individual and organisational requirements as well and develop personal styles with a lot of individual tuition.

Session One Preparation & Structure
Overview of the main principles, with practice examples
Session Two Constructing and Delivering a captivating presentation
Methods to learn and follow for coherence in organising and delivering what you need to communicate, with facilitated individual or small group exercises

Session Three Dealing with nerves / confidence issues
Learn and try some tried and tested approaches for dealing with nerves and building confidence, and learn how you can adapt these to suit you personally

Session Four Conveying Complex information
Examine and work through what you need to do to make sure that you understand what you’re trying to convey, and how to structure it so that all your diverse audiences can also follow and understand what you’re telling them, and what you want them to take in and remember
Session Five Keeping audience attention
Tips and techniques that are commonly used to keep people’s attention, how you can adapt these to suit you and your specific context, with practice examples and the opportunity to try some of these out on the group

Analyse and practise how to use a variety of tried and tested techniques what work, and learn how you can adapt these to make them work well for you
Session Two Use of voice and body language
Learn some of the important physical elements of making any kind of presentation, whether to a small or large group, and how you may usefully adopt these yourself
