Inaugural GovernmentDX conference to bring digital public service experts to Washington DC

How the US federal government can successfully transform services in the digital age will be the focus of a new Global Government Forum conference in April. 

GovernmentDX is a unique event program that brings together global technology leaders to share insight and intelligence on how technology can be used to drive innovation and deliver high-quality public services for customers. 

Focused on providing insight for federal civil servants, GovernmentDX brings together public servants for an open conference and exhibition on April 18th, 2024 followed by an invitation-only roundtable on April 19th, 2024. The events will be held at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center, Washington, D.C.

The conference will examine four key elements to transforming digital government service delivery: 

  • Modernizing government technology 
  • Bolstering cybersecurity 
  • Better use of data and AI 
  • Improving design and delivery of public services for customers 

It will also provide insight on how the White House’s Delivering a Digital-First Public Experience policy guidance can be implemented through adopting new technologies and setting standards to deliver online tools and experiences that meet today’s expectations. 

Confirmed speakers from across the US federal government are Clare Martorana, the US federal chief information officer; Conrad Stosz, director of artificial intelligence at the Office of the Federal CIO; Mina Hsiang, administrator, United States Digital Service; Amira Boland, lead, Federal Customer Experience Office of Performance and Personnel Management, Office for Management and Budget; Judy Brewer, assistant director of accessibility, Office of Science and Technology Policy; Loren DeJonge Shulman, associate director, Office of Performance and Personnel Management, Office for Management and Budget; Chris DeRusha, federal chief information security officer, Office for Management and Budget. 

International speakers include Chang Sau Sheong, deputy chief executive in the Government Technology Agency, Singapore; Vigdís Jóhansdóttir, chief marketing officer for Digital Iceland; Thomas Beautyman, deputy director, government digital capability in the UK Cabinet Office; and Christina Lang, chief executive officer, DigitalService, Germany.
