AccelerateGOV conference brings together digital government experts in Canada

The AccelerateGOV conference returns to Ottawa today, with experts on digital transformation coming together at the Shaw Centre to discuss how to make change in government happen.
The conference, which is hosted by Global Government Forum with the Government of Canada, will explore how public servants can best promote digitalisation and transformation. The agenda covers topics including how to deploy artificial intelligence in the Canadian public service; how to use data to drive better services; and how to build a culture for government transformation.
Sessions will also cover Indigenous data sovereignty: moving from concept to action; how digital transformation can help build trust in government; and how to coordinate digital transformation across services and teams.

“AccelerateGOV is back for its third year and will bring together public servants from around the world with an interest in digital government transformation,” said Stephen Burt, the chief data officer of Canada.
“We have a stellar list of speakers lined up, both Canadian and international, who will be sharing insights and strategies about how we can harness the potential of digital while addressing shared challenges.”
The conference will also discuss how to provide the building blocks to equip public servants to succeed, and how to make government services accessible and frictionless for all.
The conference was previewed on an episode of Leading Questions LIVE, when event host Siobhan Benita spoke to Dominic Rochon, Canada’s chief information officer.
The conference is supported by platinum knowledge partners AffinitiQuest and IBM, and gold knowledge partners AWS, Blueprint, Commvault, Converge, Intel, Dell Technologies, SAS, Workday, and Qualtrics.
