Speaker biographies

Rocco Pierri, Dun & Bradstreet Research Director, Government Solutions

Rocco Pierri

Rocco Pierri manages Dun & Bradstreet’s team of investigative research analysts who help federal, state, and local government agencies improve business performance through better use of data and insights. Before joining the company, he served as the Assistant Inspector General for Investigations for the Nuclear Regulatory Commission and the Defense Nuclear Facilities Safety Board. He is also a former Special Agent and Deputy Assistant Director with the U.S. Naval Criminal Investigative Service and served as an officer with the New York City Police Department in both uniform patrol and investigations. Pierri also served on active duty in the U.S. Army Airborne Infantry as an Infantry and Reconnaissance Team Leader. He earned a bachelor’s degree in forensic psychology from the John Jay College of Criminal Justice and a master’s degree in diplomacy and military studies from Hawaii Pacific University, and is a graduate of the U.S. Naval War College.

Erik Ekwurzel, Dun & Bradstreet Chief Technology Officer, Government Solutions

Erik Ekwurzel

Erik Ekwurzel is responsible for all aspects of technology and technical services to ensure the secure, compliant, and mission-applicable flow of Dun & Bradstreet data and analytics to government customers, including SBA, TSA, DHS, DoD, and Intel. Previously, he designed, implemented, and managed products for Dun & Bradstreet’s global customer base. Ekwurzel joined Dun & Bradstreet in 2001 when the company acquired the internet data distribution start-up where he led a professional services team. He attended Columbia College and the University of Pittsburgh and holds a bachelor’s degree in philosophy.
